01 The situation

A real reputation, invisible online.

LnT Sports Memorabilia has sold autographed sports memorabilia on eBay since 2010 — a genuine track record: Top Rated Seller, roughly 7,700 completed sales, 100% positive feedback, and hundreds of followers.

They also had a Shopify store of their own. It had never made a single sale. The owner wasn't sure why — the store looked fine.

02 The diagnosis

Not a traffic problem. A store that couldn't close.

Before touching anything, we pulled the store's real analytics instead of guessing. The picture was stark: six straight months of $0 revenue and zero completed orders, with organic search sending barely 50 visits across the entire half-year.

One data point ruled out the easy assumption that it just needed more traffic: a month of genuine paid social ads had sent roughly 1,300 real, engaged visitors to the store — and converted exactly none of them. When real traffic shows up and still nobody buys, the traffic isn't the problem. The store is.

Digging into the catalog itself, the reasons were clear:

  • Titles were raw eBay text — ALL-CAPS, keyword-stuffed, the exact duplicate, boilerplate content search engines are built to ignore.
  • Descriptions were empty or identical. Of 358 products, 82 were completely blank — and 274 more shared one generic paragraph, copy-pasted verbatim across hundreds of different items.
  • No trust anywhere. No authentication page, no guarantee, no policies — in a category where "is this real?" is the first question every buyer asks.
  • Navigation was silently broken on both desktop and mobile — the links existed in the backend but were never wired to the live theme.
  • No way to browse. 358 products, filtering switched off, 185 jerseys in one un-narrowable scroll.
03 The fix

Rebuild the substance, keep everything that worked.

Every product already had photos, prices, and inventory that were fine. The problem was underneath. So we rebuilt the parts that were broken and left the rest untouched — verified, not assumed.

  1. Rewrote all 358 listings — clean, player-first titles, a real unique description with authentication details, plus SEO fields and useful tags — while every photo, price, and inventory count was preserved exactly, diff-checked to be certain.
  2. Published five trust pages — About, Authenticity Guarantee, Shipping, Returns, Contact — answering the authenticity question head-on.
  3. Fixed the real navigation bug so those pages actually appear in the header and footer on every device.
  4. Turned on filtering and sorting and added collections, so a 358-item catalog is finally browsable.

04 The result

From a 17 to a 93 — on the store's own data.

Run through the same objective quality check we use on every store, the catalog went from a 17/100 (F) to a 93/100 (A). Same 358 products, same photos, same prices — nothing invented, nothing inflated.

The honest part: the rebuild went live this week, so there's no revenue chart to show yet. But the six-month baseline — $0 and zero orders — is locked in and verified, which means the before-and-after that comes next will be a real one, not a story.

Why lead with a store-quality score instead of a revenue number? Because it's the honest thing to show right now, and it answers the question a prospect actually has: can this person genuinely fix what's wrong with my store? The revenue follows the fundamentals — and the fundamentals are now in place.
